Download the correct driver from Acer’s drivers and downloads page (see "LAN Driver Atheros 1.0.0.10 4.5 MB "), using a computer that is connected to the Internet. Save the downloaded file to an external device, such as a flash drive.

Connect the external storage device to your Acer. Navigate to the location of the downloaded driver. Right-click on the driver and select "Copy." Right-click on the desktop and choose "Paste.

Right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage." Click "Device Manager" on the left.

Click the "+" sign next to Network Adapters to expand the list. Right-click on the adapter with a question mark next to it and select "Update driver."

Click "No, not this time" in the Hardware Update Wizard, then press the "Next" button. Click "Install from a list or specific location" and press "Next."

Click the "Browse" button. Navigate to the desktop where you stored the downloaded driver. Select the file and allow the hardware wizard to install the file and reboot your Netbook.
